What makes Andrea best qualified to maximize teenagers' performance in History, Writing, and College Admissions?
Why does Andrea claim to help students to thrive, not just survive, in high school, college, and beyond?
How does Andrea guide, mentor, support, and inspire teens to perform at their best?
Andrea is an experienced historian, editor, college interviewer, middle school and high school Humanities teacher, curriculum developer, and college admissions essay coach, not just a tutor or college counselor. She is an expert at helping struggling teenagers to become stronger students, innovative thinkers, and compelling writers, without using any AI. Her goal is to empower teens to excel on their own as quickly as possible, reducing their and their parents' stress and preparing them to stand out in a sea of AI-generated answers.
Andrea believes that every teen can improve as students, thoughtful decision makers and or innovators, and writers if given the right tools, and that multiple rounds of questions, when combined with targeted research and exploration, enable teens to match their unique stories and personal values to colleges who want them to join their community.
Andrea’s encouraging, personalized mentoring enables teenagers to reach their academic, admissions, and career potential, so they can ultimately thrive on their own. She is known for establishing personal rapport with both teenagers and their parents. Her student clients become less stressed, more successful, and more self-confident. Andrea's favorite success stories are former student clients who struggled in 9th and or 10th grade, but they went on to perform really well throughout college and during their first job! Her former clients now work in an enormous variety of careers.
Every human can learn how to improve their soft skills and to think for themselves; they just need to be given the right tools for them individually.
A good teacher and tutor empowers students to think for themselves, to keep exploring, and to become self-sufficient sooner rather than later.
Youth and young adults are the all important future. Most respond positively to efforts to expand their skills and thinking, to introduce them to more of the wonders of this world and the human race, and to empower them to explore career-related aspects of their own unique identities.
Write 2 University's overall goal is to help teens to find and explore their passions, while strengthening essential skills, so they can gain multiple career options once they become working adults.

Andrea has worked for:
As a high school and college student, Andrea studied 7(!!) languages, accidentally created a training manual for NYS employees, helped to run a MUN conference, served customers at an ice cream shop, co-created a complex database and conducted original research for Congress, and assisted vulnerable members of our society. However, she struggled in some academic subjects. Ironically, despite these challenges, Andrea gained special permission to take multiple graduate level courses while still an undergraduate and to write her senior thesis a year early.
When she graduated, Andrea and a friend were personally invited to interview and rate undergraduate applicants from the NY metro area. Then, some of her professors recommended Andrea for a position at a major international publisher that specializes in groundbreaking discoveries. Later, Andrea rated freshman and transfer applicants from Hampton Roads as well and worked as a professional historian and teacher/instructor at several prominent universities and multiple well-regarded private and public schools. Along the way, Andrea lived on 5 different college campuses, visited more than 125 other college campuses while students were in residence, corresponded with university professors worldwide, and ran a college internship program. These diverse experiences enhance Andrea's customized guidance and mentoring.
Although she founded IECA's Affinity Group Serving Christian Families and participated actively in Catholic campus ministry for decades, Andrea loves to help teens of all faiths, and even none, to find their own ideal college community, where they will thrive academically, socially, career prep-wise, and economically. Andrea currently specializes in admissions to interdisciplinary, engineering, pre-med, and entrepreneurship programs. In addition, Andrea has extensive experience in helping conservatory prep musicians who want to major in another subject. Andrea also belongs to NACAC.
When not helping teens and their parents, Andrea loves to read widely about the latest breakthroughs in historical research and STEM, take long walks, listen to brand new music recordings, wander art museums, try to kayak in a straight line, explore small coastal towns, and debate potential public policy solutions.
